Advisory, Conciliation & Arbitration Service (ACAS)

ACAS aim to improve organisations and working like through better employment relations.  Whether you're an employer or an employee you can get free independent advice, up-to-date information and high quality training.  They work with employers and employees to solve problems and improve performance.

Charity Commission

The Charity Commission is the independent Government department which registers and regulates charities in England and Wales.  Their role is to ensure that the public can support charities with confidence.

Funding Information North East

FINE is the North East's leading provider of funding information to the VCS and social enterprises.  They provide information services covering a wide range of funders and funding programmes including grants, contracts and loan finance.

Funding Central

Funding Central is a free resource for the whole VCS including social enterprises.  It provides access to thousands of funding and finance opportunities plus a range of tools to support organisations.

Hartlepool Borough Council

HBC Community Regeneration & Development Team provide a wide variety of community regeneration and development services around the town.  The Council has also produced a Voluntary & Community Sector Strategy which can be accessed from this link.

National Association for Voluntary & Community Action

NAVCA is the national voice of local third sector infrastructure in England.  Their aim is to ensure communities are well served by the local third sector by supporting their members and their work with over 160,000 local groups and organisations.

National Council for Voluntary Organisations

NCVO is an effective lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members and the wider voluntary sector to government, the European Union and other bodies.  They also lead research and analysis of the voluntary sector.

North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO)

In order to access contracting opportunities with Hartlepool Borough Council you must be registered with NEPO.  Registration is free and once registered you will receive email alerts for opportunities advertised.

Tees Valley Community Foundation

TVCF is one of several community foundations located across the UK.  They award grants to the Community and local people who are passionate about making a difference.

Tees Valley Rural Community Council

TVRCC is committed to working towards the social, economic and environment wellbeing of rural communities in the Tees Valley and those who live in them.  It will particularly attempt to identify and address rural disadvantage.

Voluntary Organisations Network North East

VONNE is the regional infrastructure body for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in the North East of England.  VONNE's mission is to ensure that the VCS plays a full part of the life of the North East.

Tees Valley Workforce Skills

Tees Valley Skills are able to offer a range of training programmes tailored to meet the individual needs of your organisation.  The training is free and can include both employees and volunteers.

Step Forward Tees Valley

Step Forward Tees Valley supports local people to overcome the complex reasons preventing them from finding work.  These barriers could include physical or mental ill-health, a lack of self-confidence, a gap in skills, a conviction or an addiction.

The project helps people to build on their strengths and aspirations using the skills and expertise of partners and local employers to achieve their goals.  The project is committed to making a real and lasting change in Tees Valley.

Over three years, Step Forward Tees Valley will work with 2,500 people across Tees Valley by supporting them to take advantage of existing voluntary or employment possibilities, as well as working with local employers to create new opportunities.

Step Forward Tees Valley is joint-funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund as part of their investment in local projects that tackle the root cause of poverty and promote social inclusion.
